Mine was supposed to be delivered today and about an hour ago for whatever reason it just changed to rescheduled delivery for tomorrow... Not sure what is going to happen though since the email I got forgot to include my apartment number.

Agreed. I ordered Tuesday at 9:30am PST and received order confirmation and the "all orders ship Friday" email but have received nothing yet. I was patient and even nearly ridiculed some of the recent angry posts but I currently find my own patience running thin.

Edit: Just checked and I have received a duplicate Tivo Store Order confirmation. Sheesh....this is cutting it close. Comcast is scheduled for tomorrow noontime. :mad:

Sometimes UPS tracking is just screwy, too. I've had it say the delivery was rescheduled for the next day, and came home to find the box sitting on my porch...

OK, I just received a shipping notice from Tivo.

UPS says billing info received. Shipped or billed on 9/18

So it definately did NOT ship Friday. I will never in my lifetime order from Tivo.com again.

Email from Tivo says Ground. I ordered 1 day. UPS says 1 day.

Also the series 3 now shows up under account management!

Tivo is lucky nobody to date has a comparable DVR!

Still nothing. Ordered Tuesday at 5pm. I hear some folks got an email saying that the shipping was delayed. I hear some folks got a shipping notice from TiVo. I have not received anything other than the order confirmation immediately when I placed the order.

I called and they said it "should have shipped" on Friday, but no one seems to be able to confirm that. I was also told that I would get my shipping confirmation "immediately" but still nothing.

Edit: I called the TiVo Store phone number, and they are now pushing me to the customer service number, which I've been through before. But the guy told me that when you call service and are asked if you are calling about the Series 3, say NO. Then say Live Agent when you are given the options menu. I'm being told a 15-20 minute Average Hold Time, so I'll post an update when I hear more. Maybe by saying NO to the first quesiton when you call service, I might get more information.

If I had the tracking email and knew when it was coming, I'd feel a little better. I have appointments for the delivery of my new HDTV (yes, I waited for S3 to buy one) and Comcast to put in the cablecards this weekend. I just want to know if I need to reschedule them.

Edit 2: Failed. After a half-hour wait, I was transferred to another agent who looked this up and said that many are getting a 4-6 day delay in shipping, and that I was one of them "most likely." The guy told me to call customer service again, and say "yes, yes, no." Of course, that doesn't work (the third quesiton isn't a yes/no question).

This morning someone told me it most likely shipped on Friday. I read Tivo Pony saying that all orders were shipped by Friday. Now I'm being told of a 4-6 day backlog and that my order hasn't shipped. And I can't upgrade my shipping for when it does finally go out. :mad:

I'm ready to give up. Ordered this six days ago, site says ships in 48 hours, and no emails from them and no straight answer.

I just got home from work and there it was! The UPS man apparently delivered it about 20 minutes before I got home. So no signature required. Also in my case the package only had to go about 25 miles. The place it shipped from is in north Fort Worth and I'm in south Fort Worth.

And I already told my boss I was taking tomorrow off to wait for it ...

On my packing slip, I see that the "Entry date: 09/14/2006 20:23" and "Picked: 09/14/2006 20:26"...too bad UPS wasn't notified until Friday evening, and picked up on Friday night, at 20:04!!

So it looks like it SHOULD have shipped Thursday, but something got goofed up!

I got mine just a few hours ago. I was shocked and happy at the same that it actually showed... I also made an appt for the cable card install and that's not until next Monday. Bummer. But I am glad that I have the S3 box in hand now.

From Sun evening and all today I kept reloading the UPS tracker page. It finally said delivered at 2:31pm and sure enough when I got home it was there!

I also happened to check at a Best Buy over the weekend and NO sign of them there. This was at the Best Buy in Sunnyvale (CA)...

Now to get it setup but I won't be able to do much with it till I have the cable cards installed.

One other thing that is strange as hell. My CC had an authorization from Thursday on it till sometime today (or late last night). I could tell from the avail balance vs. balance, etc.. But NO posting of the transaction at all. And then today, it looks likes the authorization is gone and still no post of the charge at all. It's hard to miss a $908 charge being posted. But instead now I have a posted charge labeled TiVo Service for $42.43 which makes no sense (at least not yet...)...

I know this is a little off topic.. but...

Are you keeping DirecTV or shutting it down?

I have had dtv since 1996 and got BHN about a year ago ( both services for a year <ouch!>)

When I called today to shutdown D* they offered me free this... free that... what can we do... ( I also noticed when I called and entered my info it said " you are one of our A list customers.. ")
I explained I get more HD with cable, I get TiVo.. I get HD Locals ..

They offered me a free HR20, discounts etc.. I stood by my decision and said no thanks.. they then offered to "SUSPEND" my accts with all vaild offers until JUNE 2007.. I let them suspend the acct until june.. seems harmless :)

Don't be so sure. The pattern that's emerging is that the shipping process isn't happening any faster. They are still going out the door 1-2 business days after your most recent order confirmation.

I just now got my second order confirmation, so I'm now expecting my order to ship Wednesday or Thursday via next-day delivery.

I just got off the phone with tivo again (my daily call) and I am now informed that my order was to go out yesterday and I should receive it today. She also said it showed 3 day shipping as opposed to my next day air pruchase! The address was different than my confirmation email so I don't knwo what is going on. This is crazy.

I am now hoping that it comes today, but not holding my breath.

Mine wasn't too far behind Tunnel. I'm at 3758xx / 11:04AM Eastern. Your order (time wise) was after mine, which gives me hope. UPS is notoriously slow here. It always takes a day longer than it should.

I'm in the exact same boat you're in. Long time DirecTV (DirecTivo) subscriber that is now moving to Comcast with the S3. My install in set for next Monday so I can't comment on quality yet but I'm not very optimistic. However, the installer did come out today, and while he couldn't do the installation (I didn't have my S3 yet) he did say I should have a pretty good signal since my install will require a new drop (current drop is used for a comcast business net account) and I won't need a lot of splitters.

DirecTV has decent SD quality on an SD TV so the thought of moving back to analog makes me nervous. I'm going to keep the DirecTV account for a bit just in case.

Can't wait until FiOS TV is in my area.
