So, when *are* you going to get cable cards for your new S3?

I picked mine up on the way home from Best Buy with the S3. So I guess that's closest to "Ordered/will order cable card(s) when S3 arrived/arrives," but that kind of implies that I had to then wait for them to arrive.

There needs to be an option for ordered S3, scheduled CC install, due to shipping delay rescheduled CC install. That option would be accurate for my case. What's another week. :(

I've got ya beat, sorta. I ordered S3, scheduled CC install, rescheduled CC install after first shipping delay, and just 20 minutes ago sent Charter away and will need to reschedule again.
Called Cox this am after I saw that the series 3 arrived here in New Orleans via UPS today (so it will definitely ship tomorrow).
Unfortunately, Cox said they would call me about scheduling the CC install in 72 hours:(. They called back 5 minutes ago to tell me that the next available date was October 10.
Ugh.:(

yeah, that's how I would count that. too bad polls are limited to 6 options.

October 10th? That is ridiculous. Do they have ONE guy doing 2 installs a day for cable cards? Have you tried going into an office and asking for some? That's not very good customer satisfaction if you have to wait almost a month.
They'd probably be quicker if you canceled service (took the boxes in yourself), and scheduled a new install!
I tried going down to the local Cox office and got an unwavering "it MUST be installed by Cox."
It sucks, but I gotta admit I have a certain level of patience right now, as this is New Orleans post-Katrina, and I'm just happy to have a 2nd floor that didn't flood and has power and gas restored.:) Cox has A LOT of things to do right now.
It's hard to get worked up about crap like this when I have friends that still haven't moved back into their homes.

I was surprised Comcast could schedule an install for Monday (today), when I talked to them on Saturday after coming home with the S3.
