Everyone is going bonkers - can we please get some good information on the status of the "VIP" orders? Are you really content to let this continue to spin out of control indefinitely?

Second that.

My order details are almost identical.

Two things:

1) Login to Tivo Central. If you see your new S3 access code in there, the order has been processed.

2) Call the 988=367-8486. Choose "About S3, have purchased, exchange/purchase option". Stay on hold 45 minutes. CSR may be able to find out a tracking number for you. For me, they did. I haven't received it yet, but the UPS record looks correct and is at the right depot, and is out for delivery today.

Tivo Central has nothing, the CSRs have no tracking number.

Someone needs to come to the table and let us know the situation up front. The CSR's certainly aren't helping at all. I would get more accurate results from the Magic 8 Ball.

Interesting way to check this. Unfortunately, only my S2 is listed.

I too have heard absolutely nothing and I do not have the time or desire to sit on hold forever and then argue with a useless CSR for an hour trying to find out.

Ordered at 9/12/2006 12:49:00 PM via VIP page
Ground Shipping
Received immediate order confirmation

Got a second confirmation last Sunday listing 9/14 as my order date.
No email explaining delays
No shipping email.

Ha ha, Magic 8 Ball that would be more accurate!

"Has my order shipped?" ...ask again later
"Will I get my order this week?" ...Unlikely
"Will my order ship soon?" ...Can't say now
"Should I order online?" ...Indications say yes

Maybe I should trust that last one.

... especially since now it seems that all Tue-Thu orders didn't in fact ship by Friday as TivoPony said.

I'll be very, very surprised if we hear anything more out of TiVo this week. Their damage control is stonewalling. They refuse to tell their sales and support staff what's happened. That's clearly intended to keep customers in the dark. Corporate won't talk to you. They sure as hell won't be coming here to tell us exactly what happened and will be happening.

The employee don't want to touch the subject. They feel that no news is good news. as long as sales at retail or tivo.com are brisk... then nothing... yeah know..
