On 9/16, I went into an electronics store looking at what's new. The salesperson mention that DirecTv was working with Tivo on creating a S3 for them. Has anyone else heard of this rumor?

The guy probably just didn't know what he was talking about. DirecTV has just launched an HD DVR of their own. That may be what prompted this remark...
