Update to 7.3.1 Already Released?

One of my series 2 Tivos went to the dancing Tivo guy like it does when it receives a software update. It just updated today. I am still showing software version 7.3.1. What i did notice is that all of my slowness if gone! Buttons work, Thumbs Up/Down work, when you press the guide button, it pops up immediately...etc. It's back the way it was before the 7.3.1 update! I checked my other 2 and they are still slow as ever, and they have not taken me to the dancing Tivo guy either. Can anyone confirm?

Chances are the the reboot cleared up some of the slowness. It's been seen before to be like this.

You might want to try restarting your other boxes and see if it helps them as well.

Sure seems like Tivo would list it as 7.3.2 or something.

1st - Tivo doesn't realease updates w/o changing the software version number
2nd - Tivos update themselves at 2:00 a.m.
3rd - It seems far more likely that you simply experienced a random reboot
4th - Like Bob said, a simple restart can clear up some of the slowness

guess it must have just rebooted...seems odd though. I'll reboot my other two and see if they improve.

Reboots on the other two made no improvement. Still the same old slow garbage. All Tivos are 540 series.

its funny, i came home to a service message - a channel had been added. When I left that message, I got the dancing TiVo guy too

No service update for me either, but it does seem odd

haven't been in the app enough to notice any performance differences yet
