View Full Version : So, when did "five minutes from now" go away from the Guide?

Did I miss it?

It used to be that when it was, say, 7:25pm, I could turn on the guide and see what was coming on at 7:30pm.

Now, at 7:25pm, I still see 7:00 listings. Sort of sucks...I really liked being able to hit pause and look ahead to see what was coming on next on the various channels. Now there's no opportunity for that.

When did that change? I know it's been a few weeks now, and I can't pinpoint exactly when it was, but I figured I'd ask.

More importantly...why did it change? And is there any setting I can change to turn it back the way it was?

Hit Fast Forward while looking at the Guide stream and it will advance to the next half hour.

Hit Fast Forward while looking at the Guide stream and it will advance to the next half hour.I always found the "five minutes before" guide feature very annoying and preferred the original TiVo way without this feature, so this is IMO an improvement.

Pony posted in another thread (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=4357837&&#post4357837) that it was an inadvertant change, and he's hopeful it would return in the next software update.

yep it was "bug" that came out in 7.3.something. should be "fixed" in the next release. sounds like some would rather the "feature" stay. as to be the UI designer for TiVo. :rolleyes:
