OK, I know this subject has been discussed many times before, but I never paid attention because I wasn't affected. Now I am and I'd like your help.

My dilemma?

Thursday nights I would like to record two shows at 10 p.m. Normally this is not a problem. But at 9 pm, Grey's Anatomy is running two minutes long, ending at 10:02. So I am not able to record E.R. and Shark at 10:00 because of the over-run of Grey's.

I think you have said there is a way around this, but I can't recall.

Advice please?

Set up a manual recording for grey's. tell your TodoList to cancel that episode first. then setup the manual.

Sure you can...but you have to sacrifice which program you don't mind missing part of - the end of Greys Anatomy or the start of the 10:00pm shows you also want to record.

It's all explained here at TIVO.com >
How Do I Resolve Recording Conflicts?

My recommendation is to clip the end of Grey's as ABC streams their shows on the Internet a day or two after they air (you also can jump 15 min segments without the need to watch the whole show to get to the part you want). Then you can simply catch the last 2 min of Grey's on your own time.

Here's the ABC link >

And while we're on the topic

CBS reairs it's shows here (click on INTERTUBE - all of last night's show as are already up) >

And NBC here (Studio 60 from last night is already posted)

Good luck,
