Lame question regarding S1 and S2 Harddrives

Ok, to start off, I know nothing about hacking Tivo's or anything like that. I just have a general question... I hear talk of people adding hard drives to their units to increase recording capacity...

I currently have an old Series 1 and new Series 2 unit. I doubt it, but would I be able to add the S1 drive to the S2 unit (provided I find the tool to get into the S1 in the first place)?

I'm sure It's not possible, but I always like to verify things before I flat-out guess.

Possible, techically yes (you treat the drive as blank, as what is on it from the S1 is useless and unreadable on an S2).

Realistically though, it isn't worth it, unless you have a pretty big drive in the S2 already, and the drive drom the S1 is pretty big also, and stable.
