Humax Tivo and Dish Network 322 Receiver

I just got a Humax 40hr Tivo, I was really excited evrything was going fine. But I can't seem to change the channel on tivo :( I don't even know if i put those IR things on right. And now I am hearing that it doesn't work that great with DN.

So how to I set it up so that I can record one channel and watch another?
Also I am trying to put the IR things onto TV1 but I have like three little bulb things..although I think there's nothing in the middle.

You need to place the IR blasters over the satellite box IR receiver, so that tivo can transmit remote control commands to it. Obviously, the other end of the blasters needs to be plugged into the back of the tivo. When they are placed properly, and the tivo is configured correctly, you should be able to change the channel with the tivo remote.

You cannot record one and watch another with one satellite box. This makes little difference, however, because you can watch a recorded program while something else is recording, and with tivo you're always watching recordings, and live TV hardly ever.

I've done that but I can't seem to change the channels with the tivo.

It would really help if someone posted a picture of their set up. I just don't know what is wrong...
