I have no idea how to get my tivo to work?!

I bought a tivo without a hard drive. I have MFS tools, Bliss tivo, and LBA48 boot cd. All of these seem to talk about using your original tivo image off the drive A to be put on a bigger drive A replacemnt or an addition drive b. I tried using the LBA48 boot cd but it seemed to ask for some kind of ptv upgrade #. I really have no idea what to do here. Somone point me in the right direction please?

yeah well I don't want to spend another $20 for software. I found out what I need is an image for my PTV312 Tivo. Where can I get that?
