in hooking up drives to my pc as per hinsdale,

my primary c; drive is an ata drive w/o an ide connector. I do have two ide ports which i can connect tivo drive and cd and new drive. how do i link my c: ata drive in for mfs tools, or do i need to?

Huh? What do you mean by "ata drive w/o an ide connector"? Your drive is either "Parallel ATA" and has an IDE connector, or it's a newer "Serial ATA" with a different connector.
