Adding to rc.sysint.author

I just want to make sure I don't screw anything up.

If I want to add vserver to my author file. I just add

echo 'starting vserver'
vserver

near where ftp is started. Then reboot.

Is that correct?

What are the locations of busybox and vserver so that I can start and stop remotely with tivotool.

you want the line to be vserver &
busybox is the directory /busybox on most hacked units.

Assuming you Zippered your Tivo and selected vi as the default editor, then to autostart vserver you just need to:

Telnet to the Tivo and enter these commands without the '
type 'rw'[enter]
type 'author' [enter]
scroll to the last line and type 'ovserver &[ESC]ZZ'
type 'ro' [enter]
Restart the Tivo

That's it - vserver now runs automatically when the Tivo starts-up.
