How do find out the my model DVR and what type of software I have on it?
I Just got my DVR installed this past Wednesday, and I would like to find out how to copy what I have recorded on it onto my laptop. Thanks for any help in advance.

If you got it new from directv it is NOT a TIVO. I forget the model number something like R-15. You might try DBSTalk Forum (http://www.dbstalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=106) for discussion about them.

It it a Tivo? Does it have a Tivo logo on the front of the machine? If it does look in the system info screen. Also, the manual is your friend.
