I see threads about "stuck at startup" and "stuck at powerup" but just a half hour ago my humax (my only tivo) completely stopped responding and the screen is just plain stuck. I don't think it's the remote because it still has control of the tv and the front buttons on the humax have no tivo control either (as if they'd touch anything else)...now at 8:00 the light came on like it's doing it's daily recording of the Practice and when I changed inputs on the tv I see that it did change the channel so at least it's not dead. Any suggestions? After my show's over I was thinking of cycling the power. Maybe that'll wake it up.

Since you mention that it doesn't even respond to the front bezel, it is likely a powercycle (unplug) will clear it up.

As I mentioned I was waiting until 9:00 when my show was over to unplug it. Well about a minute after 9 and before I was able to it decided to reboot, and then it was fine. Any idea why it did that? It is 7.3.1-oth

Was a button stuck on your remote? Or do you have any other remote units in the same room? Sometimes if a button is stuck on another remote the IR signal will interfere with other remotes such as the TiVo's.

It happened again lastnight. This time it lasted about 2 hours and didn't reboot itself. Cycling cleared it up but I'm a little concerned by it happening twice in a 36 hour period.

My Pioneer DVR-57H just did this.

I tried to bring up Now Playing and it froze as if trying to organize all the shows into a list but failing. After 5 minutes, it went back to live tv. I have 205 shows on the hard drive... 59 of those are The Simpsons... it shouldn't be too hard to organize that! I tried again with the same result. I'm now doing the restart via the settings menu. It's fine now...

It's seemed a lot slower since changing Now Playing to alphabetical listing instead of chronological. Just switched back to chronological and it's better now. Still a lot slower than < 7.3.1!!!
