Viewing photos from PC on Tivo?

For some reason, I don't see the menu choice on my Tivo that will allow me to view photos I have published via Tivo Desktop 2.3a (I think). According to the manual and from what I've read here, on the Tivo menu under "Music, Photos, More", there should be a choice called something like "Photos on My Computer". I don't see that at all. I see choices for Yahoo Photos, some games or something, movie links, and at the very end of the list "manually add server or pc". My Tivo is connected wirelessly to my network and I know it works because it receives its updates, I used the test function on the Tivo, I can transfer shows from Tivo to PC, and I can ping the Tivo's IP from my PC. So, what am I doing wrong? Do I have to manually add my computer's IP address to the Tivo? What am I missing?

Hey Gooter.

I ran into the same thing this morning. Here are a few things to check...
1. Make sure you have the latest TiVo Desktop application on your PC (latest is 2.3a).
2. Upon installation, I you will have to provide your Media Access Key. If this is incorrect, nada.
3. From TiVo Desktop, select "Music and Photos" from the left nav bar. In the field you will see "My Pictures". Double clicking on the folder will show you the properties for that folder. If you don't see it count up the number of files and the overall size of the folder, then your problem may be that you have stored your pictures elsewhere on your PC (in which case you need to select "add photos", browse and include them in the field). Should you have the pics in the right folder, it must be software related (which doesnt make sense to me as I have the same setup and it works).
4. Once you have connected, you will need to reboot your PC and then open TiVo Desktop. At this point you should see the photos on the "Now Playing" area.

Incidentially, linking to music is the exact same process except you are in the music tab.

I'm having a similar problem. I used to be able to see my PC's photos and play my PC's music on the TiVo. Now TiVo can't find my PC???? I checked the help file on the TV Desktop and followed all suggestions there, even setting up a TiVo profile on my firewall. TiVo still can't see my PC. The IP address is shown in the listing on Music and Photos, but TiVo says it can't find a server at that address. I verified that the IP address shown on TiVo is the correct address, according to My Network Places.

I have upgraded the TiVo Desktop to v2.3a after I noticed this problem, but that hasn't changed the situation. Can you think of anything else I can try?
