Hi. I read the small print on the vip page and I don't see anything that limits us to one transfer only. I have two S1's with lifetime. Can I buy two S3's (directly from TiVo, of course) and transfer lifetime to both of them?

Thanks in advance, guys.

I am sure they would take your $400 no problem.....

I just called TiVo (866) 424-8486 and was informed that it was limited to only one Product Lifetime Transfer.

I don't see that in their written policies, which would be the binding ones.

Yeah, you seriously need to call them back and ask for a manager. You are transferring 2 different lifetimes to 2 new S3 boxes. There should be no problem with that. There is absolutely nothing in their specifications that would prohibit that.

If there was, just switch the lifetimed S2 tivo to another person (and email), buy a S3 and transfer the lifetime, then call back and get the second S3 with lifetime moved back into your name and email.

The boxes are both listed under my account, but one is mine and the other is really my husband's.

When I first heard about TiVo, I told him we HAD to get one. He didn't see the point, but said he would get me one for my birthday if that is what I wanted. Within five minutes of taking it out of the box, he was a convert and proceeded to take over the damn thing. So a few months later, I bought him one for HIS birthday.

Maybe it is time to finally set him up with his own account and transfer his unit to him??
