Default Login Directory

Please forgive me. I have done searches and came up bogues. I know that you can set something, I believe in .profile, to set your default directory when you telnet into your Tivo.

Please help, with no flames???

My .profile in / simply says
cd /var/hack
at the end of it ,everytime i telnet in it takes me into the /var/hack directory.
