Anyone know if (and / or when) I'll be able to walk into a Circuit City, Best Buy or other retailer and test drive a real Series 3 TiVo?

Hmm, I would be imporessed if they had them setup with Cablecard, I know it was almost impossible to find the Sony CableCARD DVR setup at a retailer.

Probably just as likely as you'll be able to test drive a Series2. Or a HD-DVD player. Or anything.

What would the input be? Cable? OTA? In a store? Unlikely.

I wouldn't hold your breath.

good point guys. they may have them setup with OTA HD feeds though.

In Austin, TX the Fry's has stock on the floor right now, including one set up with a large HDTV for playing with.
