Some people are claiming they will receive the tivo S3 today. Please post some pics of it in action. The review pics are good, but it's always nice to see other people's pics as well.

Let's see some photos! Consider this your thread wher you can brag about getting it earlier than the others and prove it.

That was a pretty cool progression of pics, thanks. Although you might want to clean up your shelf before taking the pics. ;)

How'd you arrange that?
I see you have product lifetime, so I'm assuming you ordered it from the VIP site.

Remodelling right now... I wish I can setup my system up properly... but not anytime soon until the remodelling get finished. Anyhow it will for now. The interface of the unit... much better then MythTV or MCE.

Secret... and I didn't order it through the VIP or the TiVo site. :) I did ask more question about the missing TTG, TCB and MRV features.

Didn't realize the Tivo Campus had a store. (or did they leave the shipping dock door open again?)

The Tivo's don't ship from Alviso, as far as I know. I live about 1 1/2 hours from Alviso and my DT was shipped from Texas! They're made in Mexico, so I guess Texas makes some sense.

How to get QAM to work? I can't seem to get anything on digital channels from Comcast?

How to get QAM to work? I can't seem to get anything on digital channels from Comcast?Without CableCARD you need to know the actual frequencies to tune, not the normal channel numbers, and it'll only work for unencrypted channels.

It just found them when I did the channel scan - check out my posts in the "QAM?" thread for more details. Like MZ said, it's only the unencrypted HD broadcast channels, not the SD 100+ channels or encrypted HD channels like TNTHD or ESPNHD.

I picked up my S3 from my local Fry's (http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-vb/showthread.php?p=4369729&&#post4369729) yesterday. CableCARD installation is set for 9/20, but here are the initial pics (http://beta.zooomr.com/smartsets/17243@Z01/2829).
