View Full Version : S3 Slingbox compatibility?

Have any of you lucky reviewers tried the S3 with a Slingbox yet? It seems like most of us would be using the S3 in 720p or 1080i mode, but the slingbox only works with 480i. On the D* HR10-250 you could toggle the output format by pressing arrow-up So I can currently easily switch between 720p and 480i.

Ideas?

Ideas?
My idea would be read the FAQ's and you would see all outputs are active at the same time so it will be no problem....

Correct. I see the outputs are all active at the same time, but can different resolutions be output at the same time? I would be using 720p via HDMI and 480i over S-Video. The HR10-250 has multiple active outputs, but all are at a single resolution.

Composite video is ALWAYS 480i, so is S-Video. They simply don't support HD resolutions.

That will be a huge improvement over the HD DTivo. My wife hates it when then tv goes blank 'cuz I switched resolutions for the sling...

Thanks!
