Transfer Speed between S3's?

TIVO is great, have 4 of them all S2's. I have never been impressed with the transfer time between TIVOs (actual time to transfer a show from one to another) - I have a wired network and the transfer time is faster than the time it takes to watch the show (basically, I can start a transfer and watch it, but it never gets far enough along to start skipping commercials - well, maybe the last set of commercials). In the past, I read this was due to processor speed? Is the S3 going to transfer faster?

Since transfer are currently disabled, it is moot.

But given the overall faster performance of the S3, I'd bet they would be faster.

You won't have to wait any time at all on the series 3 because it doesn't support any type of transfers now!!!

I don't understand why I couldn't at least transfer videos from my other series 2 tivo or computer to the series 3. Surely the cable cards people aren't preventing that too are they? I am really disappointed that some of the features I have come to depend on in my tivo are not available in the series 3.

Just started reading on the S3 - did not realize it was not enabled. I won't buy 3 until the transfer function works? Anyway, I will stay in touch.

Funny, never expected the transfer from TIVO to TIVO not to work. This was our favorite feature of TIVO - now the S3 is not an option - given the price. SAD - should have know it was too good to be true!
