View Full Version : Starz free weekend - Where's Chicken Little?
My TiVo showcase states that Chicken Little will premier on Saturday 16th, during the Starz free weekend. I can't find Chicken Little on the schedule at all that weekend. I checked the TiVo's program guide, and DirecTVs guide on its web page.
Does anyone have any idea why this showcase claims Chicken Little will be available?

They may have made a mistake... There is no listing for Chicken Little inside or outside of the Starz package that I can see...
Too bad too...my kids would have loved it!

I was wondering the same thing, too.
If I had to guess, maybe they are going to pre-empt Duece Bigalow: European Gigolo for Chicken Little in the Saturday night primetime slot...

For the sake of trying to show off the channels I would seriously hope so
I didn't see it in the guide either. But there are starz commercials playing which says that Chicken Little is going to air during the free weekend. So it's not just the showcase that says this. Perhaps the guide data is outdated?

Thursday September 14th at 6:00 AM ET until Monday September 18th at 6:00 AM ET.
I contacted DirecTV via email support and here's what they said:
Thanks for taking the time to write us. I'm sorry but as of this writing, I'm unable to provide you with any update as to the exact time " Chicken Little " will be aired except for what you are already aware of which is that there will be an exclusive premiere of "Chicken Little" on Starz East and West on Saturday, September 16.

Usually very little to even record, let alone watch. :D

Just saw this on DirecTV.Com
http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/packProg/channelChart2.jsp?assetId=1200079
It says EXCLUSIVE to DirecTV customers only.
On channel 520 on September 16th

You'd think they'd be able to update the guide data.

They are working on getting it into the Guide.

...and from what I heard Chicken Little is not that good, fine if you are four (i.e., have young children) but nothing like Shrek, or Shrek II, for that matter.
Either way, I'll still probably still watch a part of it some day.

FYI: It is now appearing in the GUIDE data on my R15 and HR20, haven't checked any of my TiVos though.
As for a the movie itself....
It isn't all that bad... not the "best" Disney has done... but it is not that bad of a movie.

Each premium channel group does seem to have its pros/cons. I've tried all the premium channels, and I do keep my Starz subscription as it does have the largest number of channels. HBO is good for their series. Can't figure out why anyone would bother with Showtime, however.
I like to watch old westerns from time to time and they have a channel dedicated to that on Starz.
