Sony SVR 2000 Tivo

I have this new and was cleaning the garage, is there anyway I can configure for dish? Or have it record from regular programming? I use to be up on this years ago, got away from it. Great site , keep up the great work!(

I still use mine and it can easily be setup to work with any source be it OTA, DTV, DISH, Cable, etc.

Just hook it up and take it back thru the guided setup from scratch and it will ask you all the questions etc to get it up and running.

Most likely it will need to use the built in IR blaster for controlling the DISH box but aside from that shoudl work like a champ.

Obviously wont do tivotogo, music and photo sharing, that sort of thing. but the PQ is better than the series 2 units and the remote is the best of the bunch. well worth trying to see if it works! :)

Viewsat isn't a Dish receiver. I thot you wanted to set it up for Dish.
