It's an original 60 GB Series2 (that makes it a 140060, I guess) that I had upgraded with a pair of 120 GB drives awhile back. Anyway, I was behind the entertainment center today, messing with cabling, cleaning, whatnot, and my wife noticed that the TiVo's lights weren't on at all. I could tell the drive(s) were spinning, and it was still plugged into power, cable, and ethernet. So I unpowered it, and powered it back up, hooking up the s-vid directly to the TV in the process. We got a black screen with occasional flashing white bars, and all 4 lights on the front of the unit were on. I've tried power cycling a few times.

I looked at the WeaKnees site, and they seem to indicate that this is a PSU issue. However, in other threads here, I see that PSUs haven't exactly fixed the problem. Any advice on how to proceed? I'd rather not throw $70 down the drain, and then follow that with $150 to TiVo.

Also, I don't have the original 60 GB drive any more; it died an untimely death a couple of years ago. Any idea how TiVo would deal with that?

And I'm guessing there's no way to get the programs off of the drives if I get a refurb TiVo. Naturally, I've got a lifetime sub on this box, so I'm not going to buy a new one.
