I have a hacked HDVR2 that has one bad tuner. I would like to replace it with a another unit. What I would like to do is simply take the drive from the HDVR2 and put it into the replacement model. My question is what Directivo models (if any) will this work with other than a HDVR2? For example I noticed that the RCA DVR39 looks exactly the same as the HDVR2 but I don't know if will work with my hacked hard drive. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Any tivo shown at the top of the Zipper website will work fine. Some people prefer the non-RID tivos because they used to be very easy to activate without speaking to a CSR. Not sure if that's still the case.

BTW I used your zipper script to hack my old unit and it worked great. It was so much easier than the manual methods I used for my other 2 tivos. Thanks.
