QUICK InstantCake CD question

I downloaded an InstantCake ISO for my Samsung DirecTivo. I am going to use the InstantCake on it, but then would like to use it on a Philips and a Hughes.
I noticed the CD is built for the receiver you download it for, but will it work fine on another brand considering the hardware is identical?
Will it just think it's a Samsung even if it's a Philips?

For the DirecTV Series 2 units, the images seem to be interchangeable. However, the system information screen on the restored system will indicate the model of TiVo that the image came from rather than the actual model.

That's what I was hoping for. I really don't want to buy a $20 disc for each Tivo.
