I assume this is the controversial docudrama that Clinton's people want banned. There are several 9-11 type shows coming up and I want to make sure I'm TiVoing the correct one. This show seems to be on ABC This Sunday at 7:00 pm Central (in Austin). But I thought this was supposed to be a miniseries. When I select 'Get Season Pass', it only finds this one ep this Sunday. Am I recording the right show?

That's the right show - "Path to 9/11"
The show is 5 hours long, so it should only be in two parts.
I have it here on my local ABC channel on:
9/10 - 8:00pm to 11:00pm
9/11 - 8:00pm to 10:00pm

season pass worked for me .... 2 shows
Yep, Season Pass worked for me, too. But I'm going to pad the Monday episode (Bush is speaking at 9pm Eastern).

I figured it out. As an idiot, I recorded the wrong show. There are lots of 9/11 shows on different networks that are going to be on, and I picked the wrong one. I just fixed it. :)
BTW, in view of Bush's speech, what are your recommendatons on the amount of padding we should use?

My wife told me that Bush's speech is in the middle of Monday's ep, but that they'll resume where they left off after his speech. She also says they're allowing 20 minutes for his speech, so to be safe, I think I'll pad the ending by 1 hour. :)

Notice that now part 2 of "The Path to 9/11" is in two sections - one running from 8 pm - 9 pm ET and the other going from 9:20 pm - 10:17 pm ET.

Thanks for that tip. When I get home, I double-check my To Do List, to what it's done. I wonder if, with this last minute guide-data change, if some people will be goofed up. I can see that people who simply scheduled this thing to record will be saved, because it'll get both parts. But we've known about Bush's speech for awhile (well, my wife has), and so people like me, who padded for an hour, could get goofed up. The first section might wind up conflicting with the second section because of the pad.
Yep, this got really messy. Part two was broken into two parts (with the speech at 9pm), and part two of part two (the third episode of the SP) was not showing up in "View Upcoming" and was not caught by my SP. So I manually recorded it, as well as the speech (because who knows--they might resume the movie early), and the after show (Primetime).
Yikes: I just looked at the ABC website and it no longer lists the speech as a separate program, so I really have no idea what my DTiVo is going to do (and I won't be home until after it happens).

Oh and another thing, by padding part two, my goal was to get Bush's speech in there too, because I want to see that. But now I don't know if it'll automatically get his speech. I think when I get home (around 6:30 today, by the way), I will have 30 minutes to quickly reprogram my TiVo in time before Part 2 starts. Maybe I should just do a manual recording for the whole time slot. I think that would be easiest.

My TiVo didn't pick up part 2 for tonight. Probably because the description is the same as part 1 tonight. So I've manually set part 2 to record with a pad incase the President's speech goes long or the talking heads want to add their 2 cents.
I'm also recording the 11pm west coast showing just in case.

I suppose if I had a series 2, and if it were hooked up to my network, I wouldn't have to wait until this evening to fix it. I'm glad I'll be home in time. :)

I missed the 2nd half of "part 2".... it was broken into two pieces with a presidential speech in between. <grumble>
I set the recordings a week ago, never thought that something bogus would occur.

Did anyone record it and wlil sell a copy of part one? will pay any costs!
I missed the first hour of part 2. I guess when I did "record this episode also" on the part after the speech, the scheduler dropped the 8-9 part for being the "same episode". TiVo (the company) should have intervened on this one.
Off to find it online, I guess (I think it's at ABC, but I really don't want to sit at the computer and watch it).

Actually, it's still on my TiVo: both parts (or all 3, depending on how you look at it.) The whole thing is still on my TiVo, and I'm planning on making VHS tape of it for my wife. I suppose I could make a second tape.
Another possiblity maybe is to find this on bittorrents.

With TiVo and my schedule, I also "set it and forget it.", so with the schedule change (Part two in two parts) TiVo didn't catch it, so I only got the first hour of part two!
Anyone willing to make me a VHS of what I missed? I'll gladly pay.
Thank you.
