HR10-250 on Last Legs - What Options Do I have?

My purchased HR10-250 is starting to generate internal disk errors and I think I will have to replace it soon. Can someone tell me what options I have. Note - I'm a Directv customer and I don't want to change/upgrade current disk drive.

Does Directv still have free upgrade to MPEG4 type devices?

Do I have to lease or can I buy?

I'd like to stay with Tivo if at all possible.

Look up disk keeper in these threads (I think that is what the utility was called).

Try a new hard drive. What is your warranty??? Mine is 5years through Value Electronics.

I am going to stick with my HR10-250 until they pry it from my hands. Especially with 6.3 coming. Wooohooooo.
