Blade 9/6/2006

I had a good time watching this weeks blade. It set up the season finale and gave me a jump out of the chair and cheer moment all at the same time. When blade iced charlotte I jumped up and cheered I hated her. The FBI guy collins dying so soon caught me off guard I like when they do that. I assumed he would be around for a while but it turns out he was just a redshirt. Lots of carnage this week I like a good blood bath sometimes. Krista messed up big time by showing emotion when marcus killed that assistant. I wonder how long we will have to wait to see chen ice the vamps he has been looking for. I do like chen having a revenge motive to help blade all these years should play out great. I won't spoil it but the previews of next week show look out of this world.

I was very, very surprised that Collins bit the dust so soon. Charlotte, too. I think Marcus is a dope for messing around with Krista when he's already got Chase. Thinking too much with the little head inevitably leads to trouble.

i liked this episode too but i was also surprised that charlotte died and that the fbi guy died. i really didn't think he was stupid enough to fall for the 'i'm just a little scared girl' routine. but, he was apparently and he bit it...or rather..;)

it seems like charlotte should have been a little more clever than to face her opponent. she should have kept running since she'd called for a pickup squad. they would have found her.

i wasn't really impressed with the crysta/marcus/chase interactions today. that architect was stupid too. you work for murderous bloodfiends....why are you being an ahole?

i'm getting a little tired of all the vampire smugness and gloating. bleh. bad character traits are unattractive in vampires and human alike.

it also looked like blade might have a crazy eye.....did anyone else see that this episode??

Yeah, "Sticky" does have that. He said it's from several years of abuse at the hands of his stepfather.

Good ep. I'm surprised at the same things, FBI Man (he doesn't get a name anymore) had a very anticlimactic end. Assuming he doesn't come back as a vamp anyway. Which he probably will, considering they devoted so much of the story to his investigating. If he doesn't come back, I'll be disappointed. Note that he didn't ash when blade "killed" him, he just "died." Isn't that how a vamp is supposed to be turned any? Bite, Die, Rise?

I was hoping Blade would take Charlotte up on her offer of getting into the place - but thinking about it again he did the right thing. If the other purebloods found out that Marcus tried to kill her, his plan to kill them all would've failed. Good one B.

AND WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE KISS???

On a side note: Does anyone else hate those growling sounds the vamps make when they show their teeth? Whenever they do that I roll my eyes.

She had to stop and make a stand. The sun had come up and she needed to get inside. Blade would have found her anyways so she had to setup a defense.

He wouldn't have if Blade would get off his "I"m a badass" routine and actually communicate with his allies. He's much too wedded to the fight against the vampires being a personal, secret thing. I don't expect him to share weepy childhood stories, but useful information like "by the way, one of the possible survivors of this plane crash is a vampire girl" would go a long way to not getting people killed.

I HATED that they killed off the FBI guy! It was nice with an "outsider" character in the mix, plus they had devoted quite a bit of storytime to him. I'm HOPING they'll bring him back!

I guess they're removing some recurring actors to make a cheaper pitch for Season 2.

This show has done pretty well for Spike's ratings, right?

He wouldn't have if Blade would get off his "I"m a badass" routine and actually communicate with his allies. He's much too wedded to the fight against the vampires being a personal, secret thing. I don't expect him to share weepy childhood stories, but useful information like "by the way, one of the possible survivors of this plane crash is a vampire girl" would go a long way to not getting people killed.

yeah i agree. he may have issues and crap but when your issues get people killed, then you go away. it seems like whoever funds thier adventures would pull the plug on him. no matter how useful he is at wracking up vampire bodycounts. or at least make him the junior member of a team. or the pitbull of a team, to be unleashed when they choose. bah.

I would assume blade funds his own stuff. I can not see blade taking hand outs he is to much of a loner and independant. I am sure him and shen steel from the vampires when they get a chance to get the money they need to operate.

That, or they listened to the complaints about how bad an actress the girl who plays Charlotte was. Not that I'm picking on the kid. It's hard to make a kid believable as an adult in a kid's body. But she lost me every time she started speaking.

Bah. 2 women kissing isn't even eyecatching anymore. I'd be more impressed if they showed 2 guys in a hot hatef*ck liplock.

Now sure, it could have been hot if crysta got into it, and chase was sincere, and there was a gentle rolling of hips to show acceptance. But no. It was just the old tired 'I hate you so much I can show you intimacy and still not be moved to spare your life.' *yawn*
