tivo website slash vip?

what's the deal? my tivo is offering me an HD enabled DVR series 3 and a transfer of the lifetime service from my old DVR for just $199. All I have to do is go to tivo's website slash vip (I'd write the URL but this site has a really dorky abuse prevention mechanism)

problem is, that URL is a 404! Did a huge blunder happen at Tivo, or did they decide not to offer this thing that was _this close_ to making me reverse my decision to get OnDemand for the new media room?

Many of us saw the recording last night live, but can't find it on our boxes. It appears the offer clip was downloaded, but hasn't been made "live" yet. We're all waiting. Assume that clip you saw will be activated at the same time the website is activated. Also assume the S3 "release" is imminent.

thanks for the reply, I had no idea tivo would write such software as to let you see something that they haven't even made live yet. I'm not really paying attention to what tivo is up to these days so its bizarre to see an ad on TV for a URL that is file not found

the program manager should write a post-mortem.... :)
