I recently network enabled one of my S2DTivos as the first of my test boxes to get networking up and running. There is one item that I would like to change and I can't find any info on it here or at the other site. I normally have the Now Playing Summary backdoor enabled (Thumps Up, Thumbs Down, Thumps Up, 7, 8) at the Now Playing list. However, everytime the machine reboots (something I have done a lot of in testing and something that will happen a few times a week to support fakecall), the backdoor is reset. Is there any code I can run to make this backdoor automatically enabled on bootup like the way the 30-sec skip is auto enabled in the Zipper?

you would have to find what part of Tivoapp controls this and change those bits in a hex editor.
This is essentially what the zipper does with Superpatch. Superpatch modifies tivoapp for you.

So where would one start to even look for this type of information?

tivoapp and a hexeditor or perhaps you can ask on DDB what offsets need changing. I doubt anyone here has dug into it.
