Wanted to know if anyone else had this problem, but a couple of days ago I started getting a picture through HDMI that looked as if an X-ray filter was been applied to the picture. It seemed as if the resolution had been turned down to 8-bit with color distortion.

I have a 42" Maxent plasma and I am using the HDMI -> HDMI from the HR10. I could get a correct picture only by turning the TV on and off and then it would crap out, I tried switchin HDMI cables and restarting the TIVO with no luck.

I am trying to isolate the problem to know who I am calling to fix/replace the faulty equipment. The problem has somehow since fixed itself but I am sure it will be back.

Thanks.

How old is your HR10-250? This sounds like the symptoms of a failing HR10-250 HDMI output card.

I get that some times on my Panny 6UY w/ the DVI blade. What I end doing is cycling thru the resolutions (480p, 720p, 1080i) on the Tivo remote and it comes back.

Weaknees (http://www.weaknees.com/tivo-parts-bin-2.php) sells a replacement HDMI card for the HR10-250.

Well if its the card D* is taking their box back and either giving me a new one or sending me a check.

Your HR10-250 DVR has a one year warranty. Ask DirecTV for a replacement.
