My video and audio keeps blacking out every 10 seconds or so. This ESPN or my receiver crapping out?

Other HD channels show similar symptoms, but any SD channel is fine. When I lost other receivers, all channels would be failing..

No problem here. Try a reboot.

So the reboots aren't working...

What satellites and transponders are the HD ones (if there is such a thing) that I can check and make sure I'm getting a steady signal? There was a lot of wind this weekend in NJ with the hurricane, and maybe the dish got moved slightly, or the trees nearby shifted around.. even though it's been working fine until today *shrugs*

Only happens on HD, otherwise I'd already be calling D*

I think I would call them anyway.

I'm just tired of the calls... I swear in the past 2 months I've spent more time on the phone with various customer service entities for companies (not just D*, but I have had this unit replaced twice already with hard drive failures)..

I'm still searching the forums for satellite/transponder info .. if anyone has that, I'd greatly appreciate it..

And if you could place this call for me too, I'll buy you a beer..

Well, for those that may have this problem in the future and use search (as I did), I will post the website list for satellite transponder information

I had a similar issue last week, and here is what tech support told me to do that fixed it (although I have trouble seeing how this fixed it, but it did). They had me uplug all satellite and OTA in cables, then uplug the power from the tivo. Leave it off for 30 seconds, then plug the power back in. When the "aquiring information from satellite" screen appears, plug the satellite and OTA cables back in. This fixed the issue for me. I had tried regular reboots in the past and they didn't fix it but this did, so if you still have this problem it is worth a try.

No transmission issues with V. FiOS.FIOS has a transmission? Is that a five-speed or six-speed?

I'll give this a shot, though I admit it sounds like something out of a Steve Largent informercial.

Thanks for the info.. I'll post the results here tonight.

After my post last night I did "lose" from the end of halftime to midway through the 3rd quarter (like the drive froze). No other issues past that point.
