Which channel, dual tuner

On my dual i have "channel 7 and channel 608" which are NBC regular and high dif.
If i request channel 7 (cable) to record, channel 608 (box) is recorded. I do get the program, but if I also wanted to record another "box" channel it creates a conflict.
So, how do you make sure it select the exact channel ?

With a DT you can record 1 analog and 1 digital cable channel. You cannot record two digital shows from the cable box at once.
