Wierd Series 1 IR D11 Channel Changing

Ok, this is weird. I just installed Directv and am using a Series 1 Tivo box with the D11 Directv box. When I first hooked it up with the IR blasters, everything was fine. Worked great.

The last few days, the IR blaster quit changing the channels properly. I monkeyed around with the cable and nothing worked. Here's where it gets goofy.

I unplugged the IR cable completely and the Tivo is now changing the channels wonderfully. I don't know how it's doing it, but the Tivo is changing the channels on the D11 without any cables at all.

Any ideas on what's happening? I love it, but I'm not sure if it will last, just like to first setup.

As an added note, the RC23 remote for the D11 no longer turns the D11 off. I have to manually push the button on the front of the unit to turn it on and off.

Still changing channels without the IR blasters. I don't know what's happening, but it works. Any ideas why?

Series 1 Stanadlones have a built in IR blaster in the front.

It must be close enough that the built in blaster was interfering with the remote blasters. Very interesting.

The Tivo's front IR sender bounces the signal off the wall across from it to the reveiver.
