Turn on TV to 'frozen' picture/screen

Suddenly, when I turn on my television, I am looking at a 'frozen' picture - probably part of some show, I am sure. I cannot use the remote, the only thing I can do it shut everything down and turn it back on. This is probably happening about 1 time every other day.
Does anyone know why this is happening and if I can fix it? My TIVO unit is not even a year old yet!

I too am having a frozen screen problem on a new Humax DRT400.

The system will be fine and all of a sudden it will freeze on a screen be it a tivo screen or a tv program.

Can someone point me to somewhere explaining this problem? This is my 1st Tivo and I have to say the experience hasn't been that great...
