I only watched the first few minutes of the episode so far. It's very "Japanese". It's kind of like Speed Racer meets Marvel Comics. I'm not sure how I feel about that.
I miss Justice League.

It. Was. AWFUL.
Mischaracterizations, bad Japan influences (pointy chins, improbable hairdos, unnecessary stylizations [Ben Grimm SPRAYPAINTS a 4 on his chest?!]), 3 of the 4 characters' voice acting was completely off (and how hard is it to get Ben Grimm, the decent one, correct?), the writing was choppy and ... just awful.

Haven't watched it yet (but will later this evening). I saw the promos though and the animation style does appear to be heavily influenced by modern anime. I'd say less like Speed Racer and more like Cowboy Bepop. Though the color palette appears to be something completely different from other animation styles I've seen.
I'm just hoping the stories and voice talents are good.

I think you'll be disappointed. The story for this episode was juvenile. For me, it was painful to watch. Gene asked me if I was going to subject him to another episode. I'll probably watch a couple more, but I doubt it will get better.

Yeah, kinda weak. I'll give it some more time though. I guess I was also disappointed that they didn't start at the beginning with a "how we got the powers" eposide.
One thing I did like is that the characters exhibited frailties and issues unlike the "superfriends" version.

It also looks like they're following the model of the movie. The opening credits showed five people getting hit with the gamma rays.

It was pretty bad. One more week and I might remove the SP.

Finally watched it this morning, and yeh, it sucked.
Johnny Storm's hair reminded me of the gay elf character from "Drawn Together," and his voice was way off.
Sue Storm's voice was off, and her character was not what I was expecting. Then again, I have not read the comics in a long time, but I thought she was more mature than she was portrayed here, like when she was henpecking Reed while he was trying to find Johnny.
Reed Richards' voice was WAY off. Just didn't sound authoritative or any leadership qualities, and didn't sound confident in the science stuff he was spewing.
Grimm's voice was OK, I guess.
I liked a few lines that Johnny had when he compared the Kree to overgrown smurfs. Other than that, blah.
I watched through the end credits, and almost all of the names were French. So now we know who to blame. ;)

I actually thought Johnnie sounded a lot like Xandir from Drawn Together, in addition to looking like him.

Ugh.
Yes - awful.
I had (!) an SP for it. Deleted the SP after finishing watching this first ep.
Like the first post - I miss Justice League.

Amen to that. We'll see if the Legion of Super Heroes show helps fill the void, because this new Fantastic Four sure doesn't.

I think you all are wrong. I think this show actually captures the spirit of the original comics quite well. The modernized look is different, but I like the looks of it, and the characterizations are somewhat exaggerated, which is understandable for a cartoon series. I thought the voice recording itself was poor, which was distracting, but the dialogue, the character interaction, the running joke with the upset neighbors is all there. This story seemed weak, but not so much that I won't give future episodes a try.

I watched this too. I hate anime. This show is anime. Acting and story was very bad. I can't even see children enjoying this terrible show.
Are they going to do any more Justice League? It was geared more for adults and had a very high quality about it in all respects.

When I first heard of Fantastic Four I was expecting something in the line of Justice League, Batman the Animated Series and Xmen but what we got was a badly drawn style cartoon that was boring. It turned me off right away by the animated style. I try to give a shot yesterday by watching it but I was borded out of my mind. I was expecting better.

Jack Kirby is rolling over in his grave over this incarnation of the FF. Unfortunately, Stan Lee is rolling in cash.........

Yes, Justice League is done... no more episodes. The last episode had finale written all over it.
