Hey everyone.
Would anyone know the steps I would take in the guide setup on the Tivo series2,
so all my guide info would be correct on the tivo unit.
If I could only put in 2 zip codes, 1 for cable and 1 for Starchoice Satellite.
They do not give that option.
Any ideas would be a big help.
Thanks
Steph

Isn't Starchoice a Canadian satellite provider?
You're trying to use a Canadian satellite service and your cable service is out of southern California?!?!?!

Is there not all the satellite options there when you GS for satellite and cable?
Steph -
I also have StarChoice and am in the US... I'd also like to do the same thing you are trying, but its not possible (ie have a US Zip code for the local cable lineup, and a Canadian postal code for the StarChoice lineup).
I did notice that for Canadian postal codes, that Tivo always lists DirecTV and Dish as satelite options. So i emailed them asking to add StarChoice as a provider in my US Zip code. They answered saying they could not do that.
Its an odd answer, especially since if I was in the opposite situation, I could set up the Tivo to record local Canadian Cable and US Sat -- even though receiving DirecTV and Dish in Canada is against the law. In the US, its not illegal to receive StarChoice or BEV (although the providers are not licensesd to sell in this market.).
You could always put in a request (see this page for link: http://customersupport.tivo.com/knowbase/root/public/tv1051.htm?). Maybe if enough of us gray market StarChoice subscribers complain, they'll add it to the US Zip code lineups...

ZBB,
Thanks for the informative reponse and I certainly will put in a request for them to change that.
I e-mailed TIVO and ask them, that same thing you just noted. They have directv/dish in the canadian setup ,but no Starchoice in the U.S. setup.
They told me the same thing, they can't do it:(
Maybe they will in the near future , I hope so.
Thanks again for your help.
Steph
