So what's the buzz on the HR10 versus the HR20 now that the HR20s are now actually shipping and not just an emtpy promise from DirecTV?

I've seen a lot of threads on the HR10...and a lot of threads on the HR20... Perhaps I am just missing the thread that discusses them both in terms of decision and choice... I found a few very short threads in my search where the titles indicate this sort of discussion, but turned out to be something a little different... If there's an existing thread on this with some good info, please point me to it, and accept my apologies for a duplicate post...

Please don't suggest that I move this to another forum, because I am not asking for general information on the HR20... I want opinions from people that are in my shoes with years of DirecTV and TiVo experience. Yes, this population exists outside this forum, but not with the same level of passion for TiVo...

Last time a decision like this came around, I turned left when I should have turned right... I chose to go with the monthly rate when DirecTV lowered the fee by half, knowing full well that the lifetime was going away... Little did I know that they were going to apply the fee to the account, instead of at the box level...

Now I have the chance to try and rush out and grab an HR10 before they go the way of the dinosaur, and I want to do so if it makes sense...

What is the current buzz in the DirecTV/TiVo community?

* Get an HR10 before they're gone?
* Get the new HR20?
* Get the new TiVo Series 3 and use it on the DirecTV service (and secure the TiVo UI and ability to do capacity upgrades)?

Thanks all...

My understanding is the S3s won't work with satellite:

Most of the home service providers for DTV don't have HR10s in stock any more and only have the HR20. You can find the HR10s online or at some retail stores, but available of them drop alot very soon and the HR20 will be replacing it just the R15 phased out the SD tivos.

Here's a thread that compares the HR10-250 and HR20-700 DVRs ....

Thanks... I sort of figured that... My real question is whether or not the community here are seeing this as a call to action... "Get them before their gone, or you'll be sorry"...

That's what I meant by "what's the buzz?" :D
