I saw a 100GB Maxtor at OD for $20 AR.
Will this work ok my SD H400 or do I need a better Drive?

It'll work. The native drive is 80GB. The only requirement you have is to be at least that size. If you search the threads, especially in the upgrade forum, you'll find plenty of opinions on drives by manufacturer.
