I tried looking everywhere on Directv's website and cannot find an option to stop the paper bill that they send out. Is there something that I just can't seem to find?

If you go to whatever option says view your bill online, it asks you to accept an agreement stating that you will no longer receive paper bills.

Until they give you a discount for not getting a paper bill, I refuse to turn it off.

It is saving THEM money.....on both postage, paper and computer printer time. They should give $1.00 per month off for turning off paper statements...if they did that, many more people would do it and DTV would save tons due to much less bill processing and postage.

Now there you go again, thinking logically...

THANK YOU - totally agree on this. Give ME a discount & I'll be glad to shut it off... ;)
And if I DO turn it off, then I am the one that has to spend MY money & time printing them off on the website, as I DO keep copies of these bills for some time. Because of this, even MORE of a reason why D* should be giving us a "paperless bill" discount. ;)

Yeah ok and prehaps I should charge a $1 for each minute I waste when a customer requires me to walk them through how to use the DTV "self service" website.

While you're at it tell em to turn off that "we'll only let you see your bill on line if you agree to only get them online" BS. I should be able to at least look at it without having to change my options forever.
serenstarlight, look at it this way if the customers didn't need your help, well neither would DTV. ;)

I stopped receiving paper bills although I never agreed to it. How do I turn that back ON?

They did the same thing to me. You have to call CS to turn it back on.

DirecTV made a billing mistake late in 2006, where thousands of customers were "accidentally"switched to email billing. I discovered this when I found out my account was "past due" when calling for a tech support issue. The billing CSR admitted to the mistake, and resolved it (well, actually, it took three calls to get it resolved) but what I don't get is why they didn't fix the problem before I called if they knew the mistake was made.

Yet another dissapointment with DirecTV that encouraged me to drop their service ASAP.

DirecTV could start charging you if you want to continue to receive paper bills. There goes your discount. :)

I've been "accidentally" switched to email billing on 3 separate occasions. I think their plan is to keep switching people to ebilling until they finally get tired of calling in to fix it.
