The 12 week tryout has been a success, so it will remain on through the end of next year.

'ECW' debuted on SCI FI as a summer series in June on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, providing an alternative brand of wrestling suited to fit the Channel's commitment to fuel the imagination.

What a load of BS that statement is! Who do they think they're kidding?

As long as the moronic idiot known as Bonnie Hammer is in charge of SCI FI, expect more of the same. I can't wait to see Home Alone on there this Christmas...you know...they've got to "broaden those horizons". I better be quiet lest I give the dumb bitch an idea.

That is great news! I am glad there is finally something on there worth watching besides reruns of old B movies filled to the brim with commercials.

But wrestling is real, it makes no sense being on the SciFi channel!!!

I agree with having something better than what they are currently showing, but I just can't believe it would be that hard. There is sooooo much SciFi out there, they CAN'T be hurting for movies, series, or scripts, , , , can they?

Here's an idea (other than wrestling): Black and White night; a black and white "classic" SciFi / Horror film shown every ___________day at 9:00 PM.

Wrestling on Sci-Fi is just STUPID. While it may in fact be raising their ratings, it sure isn't from Sci-Fi fans, it's from wrestling fans that have found the show DESPITE it being on the wrong channel. This is a good way to water down a product.

ECW belongs on G4 right after that Kaiju Big Battle crap.(hint) It's very early in the morning.

There is enough for me to watch on TV to skip the nights that SciFi has wrestling. It is just disappointing because I would hope that SciFi would be purer science fiction. Showing old movies is a good idea actually.

Need some episodes of friday the 13th the series. Netflix doesn't have them (did it even come out on DVD?) and tivo couldn't find it on any of my channels either.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no plans to release that on DVD. That is one that I am hoping does come out at sometime in the future though.

Get over to tvshowsondvd.com and vote for it, people. If the demand is there it may get released.

If I'm ever a Nielsen household again, Sci Fi channel will get no ratings points from me... just as punishment for ECW existing on their channel.

What a waste. I have lost interest in that channel now.

I don't care. I'd rather watch ECW than Mansquito or another one of Sci-Fi Channel's craptacular original movies.

+1

Though, to be fair, Battlestar Galactica (the new series), was a "Sci-Fi Original Movie", IIRC.

There have been a couple movies that haven't been so bad. A few years ago, they made Philip Jose Farmer's Riverworld into a movie. I didn't find that to be horrible at all. It was actually watchable. It might have butchered the book(s) though so this might be giving it more than it deserves.
