Hello..
I have a lifetime series 2 and just picked up another on clearance at Walmart. Since lifetime isn't available on the one I just purchased, I was going to get the $6.95 multiple service discount. Does this activation qualify me for the $150 rebate?
Thanks...............

I would say if the Serial# matches a rebate form, it should work.

Yes, you are eligible for the rebate, even with MSD.

Does it matter that I only paid $50 for the unit? If I activate for only 1 year at $6.95/month it is only $83.40. $150-$83.40=$66.60...
In the end I will have gotten back $66.60 for a unit I paid only $50 for and recieved a full year of service......

Doesn't matter. They're banking on the fact that you're going to be a TiVo subscriber for many years to come and are subsidizing the hardware, via the rebate, because of that.
