I heard on CNN that Carolyn heard those words, "You're Fired". I've not been able to locate a link to confirm. Supposedly she was fired because she was spending too much time on the well-paid guest speaker circuit and not enough on her Trump duties. Speculation is Trump was a tad jealous of Carolyn and the publicity she had been receiving as a result of The Apprentice.

Ivanka is cute and well-spoken, but she's no Carolyn. George and Carolyn were tough and funny on the show. They had good TV appeal. Don, Jr and Ivanka lack personality that translates on television. Bad move. They will be missed.

Ivanka is still pretty damn hot from what I saw on last season's Apprentice. And from the limited amount of the show I saw, she seems to be pretty smart, very nice, and professional.

This is bad news for The Apprentice. Ivanka and Donald Jr. have no personalities to bring to the show and it will fall flat very quickly. They're too busy being the proper "yes"-kids that they were brought up to be to contribute anything to the show on a full-time basis. :down: :down: :down:

JR especially! No personality at all. Geez they belong on another reality show, not this one. Blantant nepotism is something I would have hope donald didnt do on the show. He gotta have one other good person on board. What about that guy in the audience that made that gaff on the live show a few years ago? :)

I too thought Carolyn was at least a decade older.
But replacing Carolyn and George with the Trump kids will be the demise of that show.
An occasional show featuring the Trump kids might have been OK (like once a season), but more than that, gimme a break ...
OTOH - Ivanka strikes me as smart, mature (and ok, hot). Donny seems immature, not savvy - no where near the presence of his sister.
I too think this is a death knell for the show. IMO, it was Carolyn and George -- who seemed like actual business people motivated by actual business considerations, espiaclly at the beginning when they seemed kind of uncomfortable on camera -- that gave the show whatever legitimacy it had in terms of purporting to be about choosing the best candidate. When it's Trump and his kids doing the entire show it's really nothing but a giant Trump commerical having no connection to his business enterprises at all. Blech.

I'd have to agree that this was not about Carolyn's ability to do her job. It's about the Donald's inability to allow anyone who works for him to be really successfull. Unlike a real leader who understands that power comes from delagation and the giving of credit, Donald thinks it comes from hoarding and brow beating. Carolyn will do just fine without DT, just fine. I assume that anything DT says is designed to be self serving and self aggrandizing and their comments about CK just support that idea.
You can give DT money, but he'll never have any class.

Donald Trump is successful with real estate. As for TV, the more he is involved in the Apprentice the further the ratings drop. Without George and Carolyn there is no reason to watch the show. Donald Jr. and Ivanka's do not have the credentials to judge the contestants. They lack business savvy and real business experience and it shows.
Who cares if Ivanka is hot, if you only watch the show for hot girls tell them to get some hot contestants. George and Carolyn give the show legitimacy. Getting rid of Carolyn is a bad idea. Her icy presence and ability to see through the candidates provided great TV. There are hundres of Ivanka's on reality TV shows if your looking for hot girls go elsewhere, if your looking to find out what it takes to be a successful business candidate keep the people who really did make it on there own.
As for reports she was to involved in promoting herself -- get real, this is TV any steps Carolyn took to promote herself also promoted the show. I wouldn't be surprised if DT himself didn't tell her she should write a book and accept public speaking spots. This is not about Carolyn's inability to do her job; it is about DT's inability to allow anyone who works for him to shine on their own. And, his desire to promote his kids -- nepotism at its worse.
Carolyn is an example of what will happen to many of these apprentices if they stay with DT -- get out with dignty. It would appear DT does not know who to let someone resign with dignity rather than cause a scene (he thinks he still on TV).
