This just started on Monday (US Open) and will run for 5 days. It is free and very very useful (here is one case where the R15 is actually better than my tivo). On the R15 you can move through 6 windows and hear the different commentary plus with the red R15 button you can bring up an overlay of the scores of all matches. It is not bad on the tivo (minus the interactive part) because you can see what is going on and just go to the various channels listed.

Unfortunately it rained most of yesterday.

Yeah I don't think you need interactive to enjoy the most valuable parts of this coverage: having the five courts available at the click of a button.

I could see them charging for this type of coverage in the future. It is quite handy. If they could keep it going a bit further into the open, another couple days, it would be even better.

I agree with you but I am using it with a tivo and the R15 and it is much much better with the R15 as you can just move between the screens and have the transparent overlay of all the scores and who is playing.

I am sure this will be the wave of the future in sports (probably not free though).

Interactive?? If it was truly "interactive" couldn't you adjust the backspin on the ball?? :p
Maybe I need to drag the R15 back out of the closet that I put it in? :)

<<Maybe I need to drag the R15 back out of the closet that I put it in?>>

Yes willardcpa I had one in the closet that I bought back in January for $87 at Costco and got $100 back and it was horrible, but in the last couple of months I can honestly say it is now better than my t-60 (too slow and no folders) but not as good as my regular Hdvr2 tivo. But with this interactive tennis thing it really works great.

Since I was not out anything getting the R15 (I also have an new R10 up in the attic as insurance) I keep it in the bedroom and monitor how the development is going and use it as a bedroom DVR.

For us without an interactive receiver, it would have been nice if they also repeated USA (ch242) in the 680s. Then it would be great to scan up an down through all 6 channels. Of course with a dual tuner DVR you can set one tuner to 242 and then use the other for the 680s. Or just record ch680 and get all of them. :)

And don't forget that UHD ch 74 is carrying one of the matches in HD.
