I have two SD DirecTiVos centrally located in my living room...
I distribute the content to the rest of the house via a 2-input channel modulator and extend my remote control access via a Xantec IR distribution set up... From any TV in the house, I can hit channel 50 for TiVo1 content and channel 60 for TiVo2 content (just arbitrary channels that I set up on the modulator)
This works fantastic for my current needs... I get the high quality picture and sound in my living room (where I have my home theater set up), and the TVs that I distribute to are fairly small with low quality sound... but it works... In fact, it works fantastic, and I have never been happier...
Now I want the same "functionality" only with an HD signal... and I want to add the ability to distribute a higher quality video and audio to drive distributed HD and SD displays (1 of each)...
What kind of alternatives do I have???
