What does Humax refurbish??

Hello..

I have the opportunity to buy a refurbished DRT800 or a new DRT400. With the problems that others have been having with the new units, am I better off buying a refurbished one?

Is Humax fixing all known software/hardware issues when someone sends it back to the factory? If so, the refurb. would probably be better.

I need to do another lifetime so I am willing to roll the dice on a Humax unit...

My 400 hasn't had any unusual tivo problems...there were the random reboots with 7.2.2b but not anymore. And that's what I'd call a notmal tivo problem. So I'd say the new 400 unless you really want the larger harddrive, and then make sure you get a warranty.
