I have an HDVR2 in my bedroom that I have had for a couple years. The unit is untouched/unhacked/unopened & in its original 35 hour craptastic capacity.

Well, lately the unit has started to freeze up on me. It usually happens when I try to do something like pause, delete a program, or start a program. It has also done it on its own when the TV is not on (so I cannot tell what caused it to freeze in those instances). When it freezes, there is nothing that can be done. No buttons work from the remote or the front of the device. The only way to unfreeze is to unplug the unit, let it sit unplugged for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.

This all started about 3 months ago & only happened a couple times. Now it has frozen up on me at least twice a day for the last few days. I feel that the unit is dying a slow death. Is there anything that can be done short of buying/leasing a new unit? I really want to stick with a Tivo powered unit & stay away from DTVs DVR for as long as possible.
