TiVo Desktop Error

Well I'll start out by admiting as well as forwarning that I am farely new to the TiVo scene. I've only been using it for about 4 days, but I'm LOVING it so far. Except for one Problem. When using TiVo Desktop I am unable to connect to my TiVo. I am however able to view photos and Music (if I can find a converter for MPEG-4). When I try to obtain my MAC through the TiVo it says 'temporarily unavailable'.

My Set-up is as follows....
-80-hour TiVo® Series2™ DT DVR
-Wireless Network with TiVo adapter and Linksys Wireless G router
-My laptop also is on the wireless

I have tried thus far.....
-Turning off and firewalls
-uninstalling TiVo Desktop as well as trying an older version
-Manually entering MAC from the website
-Updating from TiVo
-Restarting my TiVo
-Opening suggested ports (through Norton)
-Checking for correct Adapter
-Restarting computer as well as all network equipment

If anyone has any ideas or suggestion, I would REALLY appreciate hearing them!

Just in case anyone else is having this same problem. I fixed my problem.

Go online and manage your account and unselect the sharing option and change your TiVo Name (just so you know when it's updated) then update your TiVo untill the name changes. Then loging to your account and reslect it the option and change the name back. When the TiVo name re appers on the TiVo. It should transfer fine
