I'm going to be getting Direct TV and want to know more about the Sunday Ticket package
We are thinking about Total Choice for the regular package, we don't have HD, we don't want any movie channels, we don't need a dvr
Just wondering how much Sunday Ticket will cost me for the season as a new customer?

Right on their home page: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPage.jsp?assetId=400002&CMP=ILC-Q306-RHR-NFLST
Also, get the DVR, it's free and you'll never know what you did without it. No reason not to get it. :)

Well that one has HD stuff in there too and stuff, so wondering if I could not get that, and not get the dvr and make it cheaper (I already have 3 tivo's and that is fine for us)

Will your Tivo's all record at the quality that DTV offers? Do they have dual tuners?
Enjoy the NFL ST, I've had it since the 1st or 2nd season.

You have to pay extra to get HD games, it's called Superfan and costs $99.
You must have stand alone Tivo's. I used to have one about 5 years ago and eventually dumped it in favor of the integrated DVR from DirecTV (was still Tivo back then). Stand alone's will work but the clugdy channel changes via IR blaster and stuff were enough to make me change. Not too mention MUCH worse recording quality vs. the direct feed in the integrated DVR's.
I'd suggest selling your Tivo's on e-Bay, make out like a bandit and get the free DVR's from DirecTV installed. Unless you feel you may go back to cable someday. Just my suggestion as if you get get free standard receivers now and then decide to upgrade to a DVR it will most likely cost you instead of getting them all free now. Just my 2 cents, send back change.
EDIT: As for cost, the money you pay is programming only. All the equipment is free. The offer includes the option to upgrade one of the regular receivers either to a DVR or and HD receiver. If you want neither you don't have to take it but it's free if you want it.

Yeah, we may get the free ones since they are free, prob won't ebay the tivo's since they are monthly and single turner and rather keep them.
How big are the direct tv hard drives? (Yes I know you can upgrade them)

This is the R-15 page: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/secondaryIndex.jsp?assetId=900023
(I just clicked "equipment" on the menu to the left)
I think they are 120 gig drives and no they cannot be upgraded as far as I know. The DVR's are not Tivo units. You can get more detailed info over at dbstalk as the non-Tivo DVRs aren't discussed much here.

Thank's for the info, have to figure out exactly what to get.
